Had a chance to shoot one today.
At 100 yards at a 6" X 10" or so steel tooth from an excavator bucket. I hit it 3 times out of 10. The owner went 5 for 5. Another shooter hit it 4 times and he was aiming point of impact..point of aim. I was aiming at the bar the teeth were hanging on. I can't get my PT99 to group at all at 50 yards and we were hitting steel at 100!  Of course...now I want one! I might have some pics later of the owner shooting and me with the target! |

I just bought an XD40 today. Of course I can't have it till Thursday :( Now that I have read your post, I am even more excited about getting it. I think I will have to call in sick on Thursday just to go try it out.

Damnit I was looking at one of those two days ago but went with a Springfield loaded 1911-a1 now Im wishing I got the xd instead O_o

Got the XD9, not to wild about the 40 but can't wait for the XD45. They are all great pistols.

They retail for around $750 up here so you guys must get them for a great price.
The owner of this one has shot IPSC with glocks,1911's,etc and said this XD40 by far is the best gun he's used. Right out of the box and started competeing. No jam's (except for a stovepipe I had,which might have been me),misfires,etc. I've never been a fan of polymer guns but damn...this thing shoots nice and has a very smooth DA trigger. |

mine was $469.00 before tax at Academy sports. Less than $500 out the door. The 9mm I saw was $429 at a local shop. At the gun show yesterday they were starting at $500.
