Best one for under a suit:  SIG P-239.
Best made one that I've ever handled:  Swiss SPHINX (CZ-75 clone)
Best bang-for-buck:  Current crop of CZ-75s.

I love my Beretta 92FS Inox.
I just picked up a Glock 19 a few days ago, and I like it alot, but its no Beretta.

Ruger P89 with Hogue grips.

My home and life defender!

I shoot it as well at my friends 92fs.
1500+ rounds, some of which were +P+ Police rounds, and I have never had a problem.

I know it is not the best out there, I know its not the best looking out there.

But that does not stop it short of being a damn good gun!  And my 9mm.

Depends on for what application.

For practical pistol competition...
Glock 34 with Charlie Vanek trigger job, and aftermarket adjustable sights.

For carry...
STI LS9

For bullseye...
Full size 1911 in 9mm by the likes of Les Baer, STI, or Dawson.

SiG P-210.
CZ-75
Astra 600 (Points like a carpenter's square, but is damn accurate)

1.  Browning Hi Power MKIII:  Not too difficult to conceal, but you do have to carefully select what to wear during the summer months (i.e. white T-Shirt under a short-sleeve button shirt) in order to prevent printing.

2.  I think I'm going for a GLOCK 26 here (The XD looks cool, too, though).  This is going to my secondary CCW gun when I want something that I can just "throw on" and not worry what I'm wearing.

The new BHP MKIII don't have "tiny sights."  They're kinda big, actually, with white bars.  You must be talking about the older BHP that had the smaller sights. I love my BHP and can't think of a better full-size pistol.  It points great and has been proven to be RELIABLE and able to handle a HIGH ROUND COUNT.

Best bang for the buck: CZ-75

Most often used: Sig P228

Oddest: Smith and Wesson Model 547 revolver

Walther P99. It's not the smoothest shooting 9mm I've shot, but I do best with it. I liked the Sig 226 trigger mo betterer, but the Walther just seemed more natural. If you haven't tried one out, try it.

I've only plinked with it so far, but if I put some on paper, I'll have to show off (uhm, maybe). ;)

XD9, some of my friends that have Glocks because they were issued them seem to prefer the XD's over the Glocks. I am waiting on the XD45 myself.

I did well with the Walther P99 and the Jericho (Israel made CZ75 clone) more so than my Beretta 92FS.

I have never really liked my Glock 19, but I can't find anything that beats it.  Quick, light, compact, high capacity, reliable, durable, fairly accurate, simple, and a decent trigger.

I recently picked up a Springfield XD9.  I love it.  Fits my hand well and it's accurate.

I had a Beretta 92FS a couple years ago.  Could get all my shots in a 1.5 inch circle at 15 yards without much effort.  I want to get another Beretta someday... (sold it to get a 1911)

Odd man out...again.
My "warmed over" 1987 vintage S&W 659 with adjustable RR/WO sights takes first place.
My Beretta 92 does dead center one holers ONLY with 124 gr. GDHP, but the Smith does it with anything.
The Sig 228 and G-19 take the hind tit, not by much, having better results with my P-89 or FEG, groupwise.

Aimless;

The G19 is a great little gun. I personally believe that a large part of your problem in hitting with it is that you may be trying to shoot it the same way as you do your Beretta, although if you do fine with the G36 that may not be the case. The Glock grip angle is also much different from almost anything wlse except another Glock, so that is something else different. Try placing more finger on the trigger than you do on the Beretta, and shoot the Glocks more as if they were DA revolvers. I like to tell people to kinda "oooch" the trigger back. (Technical Term!)

The 26 is, for me at least, not as easy to shoot well as the 19.

I have two SIG's. A P226 & a P228. I can hit the chest area of a silhouette target with ease at 50 yards with both. Pre-Ban HiCap mags are readily available for both, also.

That good enough for you?

I like my 226 better for sentimental reasons although the 228 fits my hands just a tad bit better...

I carried a G19 for almost 10 years and it never missed a beat.  I cannot say anything bad about the gun except for it is ugly.  I carry a 1911 now, but still consider the G19 to be a great pistol.

my votes:
most accurate:  Sig210, but the price is out of control
best:  Browning Hi Power, custom of course
fav:  G19/17, you can run over it with a truck and it will still fire

I have been carrying a G26 for about a year now and love it.  I have no trouble concealing it in a Sidearmorer IWB.  I was concerned about the accuracy of this small gun, but that disappeared quickly after shooting it.  I think I am more accurate with this pistol than any I own.

Quoted:

Same but 228 first, fits the hand like no other and perhaps safer to carry with DA/SA instead of all time SA.

I just have to be different. Most accurate I have is a ancient Astra 400, favorite shooter would be a Star Modelo A super. Both just happen to be spanish and both 9mm largo but what the heck.

If you like the Browning H-P try the CZ 75 B SA (Single Action Only)

It is superb and a bargain.
