I'm thinking of 9mm or .45.

USP .45s can shoot any .45 load out there, including supers.

From what I've read (don't have one myself), Ruger states that they'll honor the warranty for *any* commercially manufactured ammo in the P-series 9mm's.  Whether that means Hirtenberger ++P++++ subgun stuff, well...

was gonna say HK USP , but beat to it...

wasn't there all kinds of 9mm subgun stuff making the rounds?  that still out there or was it all 'consumed' ?

This from Springfield concerning the XD-40 (I assume that it applies to the 9 as well)

Not only are they rated for +p, but they work better on it. Have at it and enjoy.

Thank you for interest in Springfield, Inc. products.

They misunderstood you, as there's no such a beast as +p rated .40 S&W.

Subject: Springfield XD ammo

Hello,

I just purchased an XD in 40 S&W. Thank you for making such a great gun at such an attractive price. Can you tell me if the XD pistols are rated for +P ammunition? I've read online that they are, but the manual didn't say one way or the other. Thanks in advance!

Sincerely,

I reckon they were referring to the 9mm then, since I didn't specify.
