I want a reliable CCW 1911 that I can also have fun shooting often.  I am not going to purchase just for collector value as I like to shoot every chance I get.  I don't mind if the gun gets scratched or banged around, as long as it can still function well afterwards.  The TLE sounds good for price considering the prices of some Kimbers.  However, I like the price range of the Springfield as well.  Can anybody chime in?

Thanks.

Both are great guns.  You wouldnt go wrong with either.

Id go TLE just because it has the beaver-tail grip safety (I get hammer bite bad), and night sights.
