A 3913 Lady Smith has an MSRP of $901 and available from gallery of guns from $750-$850

WTF are they thinking? My mom recently expressed interest in getting her CCL and she had a 3913 Lady Smith 10 years ago or so and wanted another. Couldn't find one used so I checked and was utterly astounded. She said if she remembered right dad paid about $450-500 when he bought the other one.   They are nice pistols but do not command that high of a price in my opinion.

Is this normal everywhere? It was just a quick search granted but damn!

That's a 3913 Tactical model, not a 3913 Lady Smith model.

So change the grips and use a marker to write lady smith on the slide.

ALL of S&W's prices seem high these days.

S&W 3rd gen autos have always had high MSRPs when new.

They seem to lose about half their value on the used market, which is the place to pick them up.  The exception seems to be the 3913 and the Ladysmith variation -- they're undoubtedly one of S&W's more sought after autos, so they typically command a higher price on the used market.

Interesting. I didn't know the 3913 series was that sought after. Well I'll scour the used ads and see what I come up with. She might just end up with a Glock or an XD.

They haft to pay for the hiliary hole on the side of the gun so it has an extra edge of unreliabilityhen
