I say "new" cause it is to me.
I got this Springer at a gun show last weekend. It was a good deal and I was thinking I needed to return a 1911 to my line-up. A quick call yesterday to SA revealed it's history-
Left the factory in May of 1992. It then was their "Loaded" model, even though they did not have that program at that time. It had all the little tid-bits that they offered at that time.
It has not been shot that much. The slide to frame fit is tight with no play. The trigger breaks clean at 3 1/2lbs. The ejection port is lowered and flaired and the mag well has been beveled.
Took it to the range today for a little session. I shot 100 rounds at 30 feet distance, standing. Winchester White Box, 230 grain from Wal-Mart.
No FTF or FTE, flawless. The low flyer was my fault, it's been a while since I had a 1911.
All and all, I'm happy...now if my goody box from Brownell's would arrive with my new rear sight, grips and Wilson mags..
Well..time to clean her...thanks for looking.
