How many mags come with it?

If you have the $$, I would probably buy it.

Mags, arent they downright impossible to find?

I looked at a Coonan .357 but mags seem to be a major issue for those too.

If it comes with a decent supply of magazines, get it.......but if you plan on shooting it alot there is no spare parts supply short of buy another and canabelizing it. It really is in the realm of a collectors piece rather than "a ruff and tumle hell it dont matter if it gets rust on it" carry pistol.
Hope you get it though just to have a good example of the type.

FWIW, Bren Tens are C&R

"Bren Ten pistol, all models and variants manufactured by Dornaus and Dixon Enterprises, Inc. prior to 1986."

I too have lusted for one since they began but couldnt afford one at the time.

after it was too late and they passed into oblivion I could then afford one but couldnt find one

would still love to have one

History shows they are prone to parts breakage and new ones have to be custom made since there are no sources for factory replacement parts. .  Mags are scarce and a premium if ya do find some

If your a collector, buy it. If your a shooter, there are better avenues for 10mm

You are quite correct.

However.  Should anyone want factory mags or parts, I could quite possibly have the hookup, if you ask nice.

I'd pass.

As others have said, there are better 10mms if you are going to shoot it.

And I'll never buy a gun I can't shoot.

Sonny Crocket (Don Johnson) switched to a S&W only because the prop manager couldn't come up with replacment mags.  Every time he would drop a mag for a reload on an open set, spectators would run off with the mags.  I have a friend who purchased a Bren 10 maybe 20 or 25 years ago.  His did not come with any mags.  After waiting for a year and not finding any, like a fool he sold the gun for less than what he paid.  I am sure he is kicking himself to this day.  He even talked of traveling from Kalifornia to Florida to see if he could be there when they were shooting the series.  Guess he figured he could snatch a mag or two.  I am sure he is kicking himself to this day.

I would not buy it because I like to shoot. If I wanted a 10mm that worked I would get a Glock or Springfield Omega.

I like my 10mm Witness, but I have always wanted a Bren.... Looking for justification, but if I get to the point of trying to talk myself out of it... I have lost the battle.

I'd love to buy one to shoot so it would have to be a beater. I think if it was pristine I would lock it away.

But yes, I would buy one for under 2k.

Considering some of the fugly guns coming out these days I wish someone would buy the design and start mass producing them at a decent price.

Stupid observation from someone who owns neither gun... is there any way that a Witness 10mm mag can be modified for a Bren Ten?  I'd think that they're similar enough to consider, but I'm sure that several Bren Ten owners have probably tried already.

I saw a mag for sale on EBAN just this morning. Opening bid is $99.  I didn't save the number, but it shouldn't be hard to find if you're interested.

Here is an interesting discussion about the Bren Ten:
What Kind Of Gun Did Don Johnson Use In(In this thread Don Johnson is carrying a Steyr AUG, but the thread got sidetracked into discussing the Bren Ten).
