Thats the issue.  It really wasn't.  He could maybe fire 1 or 2 before some type of issue.   On top of it has some rust all over.  So it needs a new coating.

Sorry for the lack of any update, live always seems to get in the way.  Haha.

Gun was dropped off to get the nitride done.  Should have it back sometime this week and hopefully assembled this weekend.

Got the gun back today from H&M Nitride. Turned out great.  I took these pics but they don't do it any justice.  It's pretty black for the coating but the pics make it almost look grey.  I got it 99% back together.  I just need to get the rear sight tapped into place and *the toughest part* is getting thst stiff ass spring under the circular take down thing located under the barrel.  Then there is the fact that I have no clue wtf i did with the magazine follower.  I put all the parts into 1 bag.  Thankfully the gun was only really in 2 places in the house so ill check them tomorrow.    But here is some pics prior to assembly.

Yep, now you're going to need some grips that complement that fancy finish.  Bersa makes a factory wood grip for that gun, I'm not sure who else does.

I got curious after posting that and found these as well:
https://www.marschalgrips.com/grip-models/bersa.html
https://www.altamontco.com/pistol-grips/bersa/bersa/

I like a couple of the Altamontco grips, especially the (of course out of stock) "Bersa Thunder .380 Ultima Panel Super Rosewood Oak Leaf Checkered".

Thanks for those links, I'll look into it.  The stock grips r the stock bersa wood ones.  1 side is fine, the other will need a light sanding in a few spots to even/smooth out some scratches.   Of course the wife wants purple grips

I’m a closet Bersa fan. I don’t own one, but they’re one of those under the radar guns you never hear any bad things about anymore. Glad to see you’re fixing it up.
