I'm about to get a Sig P220 Scorpion. Any reason not to?

Gonna Fo on a 220 Scorpion and want to see if there's anything I need to know before I do. Been wanting a 220 for a while and found a deal. Anything I need to know?

At $680 from Smoky Mountain Guns, I really can't discourage you from getting one.

Joking aside, that is one nice looking pistol, and I'm usually not a fan of non-black or stainless guns due to finish wear.

Apparently the 10mm variant - called the Emperor Scorpion - is out, or at least Lipsey's was showing it's available.

Hopefully those will be easier to get a hold of than my DA/SA 10mm P220 Elite. Took a heck of a while to find one, while the SAO 10mm models were everywhere.

Agreed^^^^ P220 is a great pistol, but the P227 is even better 14+1 with the P227 14 rd mag. Both are world class combat pistols. You will never look back if you buy the P220.

Yeah, I went to get it there and it was sold out. Luckily I found one on GB for 30 more. Can't wait to take it out.

The P220 series pistols are excellent and I really like the Scorpion model. Also, don't forget about the Sig magazine/pistol pouch deal Sig is offering now on new guns.

I looked at the Scorpion but ended up with a Legion and have 0 regrets about the choice. It really is an amazing handgun.

I would have but the $400 price difference made it a little out of my reach right now. I do want a 226 Legion down the road though.

That's what I got. Hopefully it will be here this week. Are these being discontinued because the legion is out now? They aren't on the sig site anymore and it seems like some places are getting rid of whatever they have left cheap.

I prefer the Scorpion. What is the difference anyway between the two-Scorpion and Legion? A coin,finish and grips is all I can find for $400.00 more. I bought a P220 Desert Black not long that is very similar to the P220 Combat (minus the threaded barrel), but the $400.00 + price difference swayed me to the D.B. 220. Even if I got the extra parts needed to look like the Combat, I would come out ahead.
I am not knocking anyone's choice but Sig,like others, uses marketing to make some of their models appear better than others when they are usually all the same,except for a few small pieces parts.

Got my 220 today. Gotta get it to the range. Found out that it is not eligible for the free mags and bag rebate. That kind of bummed me out. Guess it's because they are discontinuing them. Oh well.

Very comfortable. The color is darker than I thought. The camera lightens it up. Gonna try to get to the range today or tomorrow.
