I have mostly Glocks right now.
I have a shield and it makes me interested in the M&P series. So if you were the type of person that isn't really interested in something from every brand, what couple of lines would you pick? M&P Glock CZ Sig Berretta SA ... ETA: I have added a poll. I am very curious of this. |
CZ
Most of my other guns are "old" guns that are mechanically or historically interesting. I've been through Glocks and BHPs on the road to pistols perfection. (CZ). Well, perfection for me anyway. |
i branded out in every direction. i have a variety of hammer and striker fired pistols
I'm finding the Beretta 92 series interesting. I never wanted one until recently when I handled one. It's big for a 9mm, but it's really nice. YMMV.

Used to be a glock fan rill I held and shot my first M&P 9 a few years ago. sold all my glocks, purchased all M&P 9 line and havent looked back since. I still love my sigs though
I have owned them all. Cz, xd, glocks, kahr, walther, highpoint, kimber , taurus ,m&p. ect ect. Then a few years ago fell in love with sig. Started out with a p229 enhanced elite. Then added 2 m11a1s, p229 dark elite, p229 legion and 2 sp2022s. Decided a couple months ago they just were not for me anymore and have since picked up 3 gen4 glock 19s one being the mos. Also have a PPS m2 which is great. Bottom line for me all roads and alot of money spent led back to glock. Thats all i can say i guess.

I really have no need or much of an interest in anything other than GLOCKs. I do currently have a Kahr, a classic S&W Model 19, and a couple of Cimarron SAA clones just for variety and revolver cartridges though.

In this order
Glock by far I own the most 1911 have 4 of these Sig P22x\CZ 75/SP-01 great pistols all around HK P7 it is an addiction S&W M&P have them but not really in love with them |
My Springfield 1911 and M9 are my go to pistols. Everything else is just for fun or occasional carry, and I only like all-metal guns. Right now I'm on a small-sized pistol buying kick.
Wanted to like glocks long ago, shot one side by side with the M&P and now own several M&Ps.
Also have a CZ Sp-01 and a 97B which are great guns. Decided to branch out recently and try an H&K VP9 along with a PPQ M2 Navy which are both in the mail, really looking forward to the PPQ. |
CZ and M&Ps are what work best for me. Glocks don't fit my hand very well and the M&Ps do. If your looking to go the DA/SA route CZ is hands down my number one pick. Had a 229 and sold it, just too heavy and bulky for a good carry gun. My P-07 on the other hand is just what I was looking for. Sweet shooter, not too heavy, comfortable to shoot and the size is just right (almost the exact size of a G19).

I'm a "Glock guy" for carry and have a bunch of them, but I enjoy shooting most handguns... Old pics, but you get the idea. Specific to your question: If I could only have one "line" of handguns, it would be Glock. No question. If I could have a second line as well, I would add S&W for their older revolvers and autos, both. View Quote That's a very nice looking handgun collection! |

In the top picture, lower right rack, what are those? The opposite side looks like berretta. |

For me it's Glocks and 1911s. I by far shoot these the best. I really really wanted to love the M&P, but I hate the trigger, and every M&P pistol we have is plagued with malfunctions. Not to mention that several of our .45 mags come from the factory with bent magazine springs. Its a shame, too, because I love the way they feel in my hand.

Some BHP variants, and I think a Colt All-American 2000 in the very back. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Really love my buddy's Core Pro but kind of want P09 with red dot mod slide to try out because of cocked and locked option, or DA first shot with cocked and locked option.
That and they now have a .22 conversion. I kind of wanted the Shield but already have a CW Kahr that will feed Speer plastic wadcutter from top of magazine when regular round is in chamber and fired. I want to try a magazine of lead wadcutters in it some time. |
All, except High Point and even then if it is all you can afford.

How does that AA2K shoot? View Quote Mine is the polymer version (as I'm sure you know, they also had a smaller run of metal framed ones). It works, and I can be accurate with it if I take my time, but the trigger has a very long and funky pull (yes, this from a Glock guy!) and the slide operation and reset FEELS like it takes forever (I'm sure the difference from the pistols I am more used to is really just a fraction of a fraction of a second, but it seems longer somehow). Add the weird trigger setup to the (perceived) slow reset and I find it difficult to fire rapidlt well at all. Slow, single, timed shots, it does fine. Interesting design, and probably a bit ahead of its time. I only keep it now as an oddity, because there aren't all that many in circulation and mine is still LNIB, shot little and never carried. |

Thanks. I see them from time to time at gunshows or wherever. They have yet to make the transition from "old stock shelf turd" to "quirky, rare sought-after relic", but you wouldn't know it from the prices people are trying to get for them. |

1911's and Hi Powers for bottom feeders. S&W K-frame .357's for wheelguns, especially early Model 19's. |
I have pistols from every manufacturer listed in the OP, excluding CZ. I like all of them personally, but I have been a Beretta and Glock fan longer than any other manufacturer.

Your list is too narrow. My favorite guns which I currently own are:
HK P7M13 / P7M8 The original Striker Fired pistols before Glock, and much, much better accuracy, reliability, and safetywise than Glock. Fixed barrel is more accurate than any Glock. Barrel is designed to continue to fire and eject spent casing even if the extractor fails (try that with a Glock). Cocking mechanism renders the trigger inoperable and releases the striker spring by simply releasing the grip (much safer than Glock because the weapon will not fire and the striker spring is not cocked until you squeeze the grip, no ND like Glocks). CZ DW 1911 pistols 10mm CZ 75B Night Hawk Custom 1911 pistol 10mm S&W N frame mdl 657 .41 magnum revolver. |

The M11 looks pretty nice BTW. |

Older N frame S&Ws. I have 2 Colt 1911s and that's good enough for the pistols, nothing else really interests me.
Beretta, Sig, and CZ are my 3 favorites. If asked to pick one, not sure I could from those 3. Revolvers, I have S&W but I really prefer Ruger.
