Today's the day. Thank a vet. Your donations go to help disabled veterans. One thing that you may be interested to know is that the VFW Posts purchase the poppies from the disabled vets that make them, then donate the proceeds back to them. That helps them TWICE.

Hey jarhead......I ALWAYS buy poppies and also donate to the vfw.........GLADLY........I APPRECIATE what the vets are........B&G......thank you all for your time and effort.....whatever it may be......

Thanx, B&G. Here in St. Louis, we're also going to be out today and tomorrow. I am not a member of the VFW, nor am I eligible, but I volunteer quite a bit at the post.

People apeared to be in a great mood yesterday, and my can was FULL by the end of my shift. Even better: only 2 people gave change, which, of course, was greatly appreciated in itself. When you have people putting $5 bills in the can, though, it makes you think maybe we can save this country after all.

That`s great to hear......surely...recent events have stirred up patriotism in many people......I sometimes remember how some used to think it was b/s to be patriotic...even christian.....well not me...too many military and leo types in my family to not understand.......kind of like the people who ignore GOD...till they really need HIM.......then the prayers start flyin`!.....good luck Ken.......Ken K..............(p-s I went to mo. valley college in marshall..68-69....LOTS of good people in the "show me" state )
