Still going strong...1700 rounds...Not one malfunction, still yet to be cleaned! Ammo consisted of CCI Aluminum 230 grain ball....and yes some WOLF

I just picked up 2K rounds of 230 grain ball...So the testing continues

But...but....1911's are jam-o-matics! You can't run 1700 rounds without a malfunction!

That is a seriously nice piece. If I had the money and didn't want a RRA, my next 1911 (man, I hate saying that...) would be yet another SA, treated in a similar manner to that one.

My Kimber will either have a Wilson or Brown safety on it when I get it back, but I don't know which.

That's a sweet 1911 you have there, Irish. The finish is absolutely fantastic!
Sounds like it shoots as well as it looks too (as it should, of course).

All right,
I finally broke down and cleaned this thing! I was right around 2550-2600 rounds! I could feel the grit in the slide as I manually worked it! In all of those rounds....Not one failure!

She is still running strong! Well over 3000 rounds and it has been accurate and 100% RELIABLE

No benches. Out to 25 yards it will put a golf ball size hole in a target....taking your time! I can consistently hit a steel man sized silhouette out to 100 yards!
