do we seem to like it? I recently sent in my packet, not sure if I want it now. I mean I left CA due to this registration law crap. Then I come to TX and everyone thinks its great that there is a shall issue here. After thinking about it, shall issue translates to shall register gun owner. Sure they don't exactly know what you own, but they do know you own em. So what is the difference?

When confiscation finally happens and it will. Time is on their side. It could be 25-30yrs from now, but it will happen. So who will be the first on the list. NFA owners. Then reg weapons holders. Then CCW holders will get search warrants served to see what they have. Or it may be CCW will get their "inventory" inventoried first.

Whether you like it or not,you get stopped packing with out one you are going to lose it right now! You are in texas if an Orwell type senerio happens you wont be alone,there wont be enough law dogs anywhere who will be happy to try and confiscate weapons from all the old War horses still left.

Lets keep our state reps,congressmen,presidents,aware of how we feel about this. Lets live within the laws and make damn sure we have a hand in making them.

Join the NRA, and allways get out to Vote.

For crap sake! If you belong to the NRA (and you damn well should), if you ever subscribed to a gun magazine, if you ever purchased a firearm (particularly a handgun) from an FFL dealer you are already on some government list. Getting a CCW permit doesn't mean a damn thing in terms of who they will come after (if and when that happens - haven't seen any good crystal balls for sale).

On the other hand, the more CCW permits there are in each Shall Issue state, the larger voting block the stinking politians will have to consider pissing off with their next piece of gun control crap. If there's a large enough voting block of CCW holders, they just might think twice. To those slime bags votes count far more than issues.
