At the gun show today I finally found a 75D Compact PCR.

I'm looking forward to cleaning it and putting a few rounds through it next week.

Welcome to the club.  You'll likely find that CZ handguns breed just as fast as ARs.

LOL, OK

We bought 2 LCP II's along with the CZ, so after I drop off the wife at the airport in the morning, I'll grab a group shot before I start cleaning.

The PCR was truly one of the best CCW pistols ever built, excellent pistol. Cajun Gun Works can make it glass smooth.

Congrats on your purchase OP.

I bought a CZ-82 with my C&R license last week and was astounded at the accuracy of it at 25 yards.

I couldn't shoot my G26 well at all, turned it into a 75 compact about 15 yrs ago, happy ever since.

Those are hard to find at a good price in my area.  I was lucky enough shot once. They are fun.

Here is a picture, nothing special.

When I stripped it to clean it up I found this.

I found this a bit odd.

ETA: to be more precise, not painting all of the inside of the frame

Yup both my 75BD and SP-01 had that.  I cleaned up the rough spots with 600 grit sand paper.

The PCR has an aluminum frame, so it won't rust.

Funny thing is, the steel framed Compacts look the same way.  So far, none of ours has rusted either.  We do keep them lubed.

It's not bare metal on the modern steel frame CZ's. They apply the paint (powder coat?) over a phosphate finish. In other words, the "bare" metal inside the frame still has a parkerized like finish.

CZ's have some very rough machine marks when new but they look better after 1,000 rounds. The wear surfaces become shiny smooth and you get used to the other machine marks.

LOL, I remember going from 1 to 10 within the first year.  Started with a SP01 then SP01 tactical, P07, P09, P01, PCR, P09 threaded barrel, Urban gray P01, SP01 threaded barrel, kadet kits and so on.  Last purchase is a CZ SP01 Shadow.  Still dont have a 75 yet.

I have a Shadow 2 on my radar currently.  This whole thing started when Sphinx announced the SDP but only compacts were coming to the US at the time.  Then I did more research and holsters, sights, and anything cool was impossible to find.  So I bought a CZ 75BD then she took it away from me after shooting it with the CGW SRS kit.  Then I bought myself an SP-01 and did a full Cajun job on it then she did not like shooting her 75 because it was slippery with the heat and sweaty hands.  So now I have my own P-09 and I will not even let her shoot it.
