Just got an email from CZC saying my pre-order is ready to ship. It's the black poly coat with black Grips. Anyone else get an email?

I just checked my email and got super excited.... but it was spam.

When did you send in your deposit?
I have a receipt of deposit from 11/16 and haven't heard a peep, let alone choice of color. |

I wanted blue but i wanted whatever came first as long as it wasnt the 2 toned. |

Good to know. Did they give you an option to wait for the "blue" edition if you wanted to wait? View Quote Im sure you could if you wanted. You were assigned a number when you preordered so if you didnt want the black one you probably would lose your spot. On that note, my Shadow 2 just shipped! Should be here Tuesday! |
|
The ones they have now yes. CZ Themselves said they are slowly trickling in and CZC are the only ones who have them now
|
|
I ordered a Blade Tech Drop offset holster for it. I have one for my SP-01 and they since came out with one for the Shadow 2
|

Can't wait to get mine. Didn't pre-order from CZC until a couple weeks ago so I'm sure it is still going to be a while. I hope comptac makes the international holster for them soon.

I got the call today, have to cll tomorrow and get it on the way.

Of course a blizzard delayed my guns shipment that was supposed to arrive today
|
|
On the way, pick up on Thursday
ETA - If they only ship 400 at a time it might be a while before we are production legal. |
|
Well idk about Blue grips but these guys have silver and purple lol

Was considering buying an STI 2011. Glad I waited. I will be ordering an all black version ASAP.
Confirm that these take regular CZ75 mags? |

I finally got Rob at CZC on the phone. As long as my LGS follows through and sends their FFL, I'll have one on the way as well. Anyway, I asked Rob about the "blue" version which is the Nitride version. The "Black" version is polycoat. He said they received 400 Shadow 2's and 30 were Nitride. Those went first. Not sure when more "blue" ones would be available. With that info, I was fine with the black, although I prefer the blue grips look wise, the Nitride vs. polycoat is a not important to me. Maybe I'll be able to buy the blue grips at some point in the future? Now I want one. |

Got the call last night while I was out. Black Shadow 2 heading my way. I pre-ordered roughly two weeks ago so I am shocked it's already coming.
ETA: Now to find a production legal holster for the damn thing. |

what was the cost at CZC for the Shadow 2? 1299 for a polycoat model and 1399 for the nitride model. Don't expect any discounts day 1, let alone from CZC. lol. |

What's the difference between Polycoat and Nitride ? View Quote Nitride is the trade name for Ferritic Nitrocarburizing which actually effects the substrate of the metal surface, as I understand it. I guess an analogy would be like anodizing with Aluminum. (I'm sure some metallurgist will be along shortly to rip me up over that comparison. ) In general Nitride would be more durable and corrosion resistant, but I'm gentle with my guns, so would never realize the benefits in the real world. |

I've had my Polycoated SP01 in and out of a kydex holster a 1000 times and it shows no wear unless you really look for it .
The stuff is tuff . |

Yep, also got the call last night, Stuart just sent tracking number, be here Friday

CZ Custom posted that all pre-orders are filled and they have a few extra in stock!

Polycoat (and I'm not even sure if that's an accurate term for it) is the standard CZ finish they use on their guns. It's an applied surface finish. My understanding is that the poly shadow 2 (all black - 91254) is poly over the base nitride finish. The blue grip shadow 2 just has the nitride finish (91256). At least that is how CZC described them. |
