Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Steyr m40 cheap?

Does anyone know why the Steyr M40 is so cheap?  The last one I saw was NIB for $289.  I was thinking of buying one but the low price made me hesitate, are they low quality?

High quality but the factory lost their lease and had to shut down. I've heard talk of them reopening in a new site.

It has a pretty dramatic grip angle, it looks more severe than a Glock. Be sure to hold it and see what you think before you buy.

My guess is these are a hell of a good buy.
