The 3 I have a fed a pretty steady diet of Federal Hydra Shok 115 and 124 gr JHP's along with occasional CorBon 115 and 125 gr JHP's, plus some 115 and 124 +P+ stuff....and anything else I pull out of the ammo locker.  Haven't tried any of the Personal Defense Hydra Shok's yet.  You?

I've carried my elite98 for 3 years and settled on Remington Golden Sabre +P JHP.  Used to use the CorBon 115grJHP+P, but I like to shoot my CCW stuff at the end of the month, and the CorBon was getting a bit expensive.

I'd much rather prefer to load my own CCW ammo, but due to possible negative litiginous complications defending self in court of law, I stick with the factory stuff.

CorBon 125 gr when I can get it - 115 gr when I cannot for my MK9

CorBon 150 gr for the K 40  -  but I carry the 9 mm most of the time

Lots of 100ct Win. white box 115gr in my MK9(600+), plain old Win. jhp for carry.
It fed Speer Gold Dot +P jhp just fine, but they were so lively that follow up times were too slow.
Now that I've switched to a PM9, I'm hoping it will eat a similar diet.

Federal 9BP (hottest non-+P load, and very
accurate). Chuck Hunt

I've put about 400 rounds of Federal American Eagle 165Gr through my MK40 and they do a good job of shooting to point of aim. I put a box of Cor-bon 135gr and let me say they where handfull!

Cheap PMC 115gr and (gasp!) Sellier&Bellot 115gr ... 100 rounds with no problems in my new P9.

That's about all the range I go to carry.  They don't even have Federals!

I do clean religiously after a session so it should be fine ... right?

Yep, it'll be fine as long as you keep it clean.  Nothing wrong with either ammo for practice.  Cheap ammo encourages more frequent practice, practice builds familiarity and aids skills if done with a definate goal in mind (as opposed to mindlessly blasting away).  IMO, I'd rather see someone practice with S&B than Wolf at this point.

I'm shooting Speer Lawman 124 gr TMJ ammo for practice.  I normally load 115 gr CorBon for carry purposes.  I have loaded Federal 147 gr Hydrashoks (Gasp! Oh, well, they were free!) on occasion, but I don't trust the expansion at those velocities.

I prefer the CorBon.

I'm not a fan of the 147 gr JHP's either, especially out of a short barrel like the Kahr.  Might be okay out of a MP5
