I am loving this gun. Great balance, feel and quality. Not sure about the recoil because I'm used to a 454, but it seems pretty light. First group at 20 yards was about 2 1/2 inches. Not great, but I expect it to get better with break-in, and practice. I think I paid too much for it (due to shortage), but I'm happy anyway.

The XD is a great pistol, I really enjoy both of mine! Have fun and shoot safe!

Congrats!
 After about 1000 rds mine really began to settle down and the trigger and accuracy both improved. Good luck
