I had to send my new XD40 back to Springfield because it jammed once every magazine and the best groups it would do at 10 yards from a rest were 5-6 inch groups!

Well I got the gun back the other day and was able to test it out at the range today. In 300 rounds it never jamed and accuracy was greatly improved! The picture below is a few groups I got at 12 yards from a rest. The top 2 targets are 2 inch circles and the groups are about 1 3/4 inches. The bottom circle is 1 inch and the group was about 1 1/2 inch.

I think Springfield fixed my gun right the 1st time! Total time to fix my gun was 4 weeks. I'm going to test it one more time to be 100% sure the gun is 100% before I CCW carry it.

Thanks guys!
On the repair reciept it mentioned they "tuned the extractor". The gun did not have an extractor problem but a feeding problem. Why did the tune the extractor and what exactly does "tuned" mean?

I think you shot those groups with a USP or  Glock and then said it was your XD.

What grain bullets did you use?  My 5" won't group worth at all with 165 grain, but 180 grains, of any brand, will give tight groups.

It was all WWB. The 100 round value pack. I'll check the box and post back what weight they were.
