I have a XD-9 and am looking into getting a new barrel. I have heard the name Bar-Sto thrown around for high quality barrels with good QC. I have a couple of questions of people who have experience with these barrels in this weapon.

-Do you have a MT or Semi-Drop in?

-Did you have the barrel fitted by Bar-Sto or a Gunsmith, would you recommend fitting for a semi drop in?

-Was there a degradation in reliability compared to the factory barrel?

Any other observations you have about the setup are welcomed.

Thanks,

Matt

Bar-Sto is in fact top-notch. I urge avoiding the "drop-in" & get one fitted for better accuracy. Even fitted, it may take 100-200rds for a good solid break-in, IMO. After that, it should be lights out accurate & reliable, maybe even before then?

Are you saying to avoid semi dropin's that are fitted over just dropping it in or avoiding them all together and getting a MT fitted.

Does any one out there have experiance with this set up?

What???????????

Buy an oversized aftermarket barrel & have it professionally installed.

Forget the "drop-in" types.
