Springfield Armory just posted another video, with the CEO answering a question posted on Facebook. Well surprisingly fly e ought it was a question that I asked which floored me when I heard my name. But to the question I asked about the possibility of a 10mm and they confirmed there is a 10mm XDM in development for later this year and they are also discussing the possibility of a 1911 TRP in 10mm.

I'd post the video but I can't figure out how to from my phone.

Count me as intrigued. I was about to ask whether a polymer-frame pistol could handle 10mm, then I remembered that the G20 exists

I like the 10mm and it's good to see more options.  That said, I'm not a huge fan of the XDM, I don't think they're bad guns as I've owned two or three, just not really my cup of tea.  I would like to see a more pocket sized 10mm like the Springfield XDS chambered in 10mm, they've got a .45 version so you know a 10mm could exist.

Single stack 10mm with the 4" XDs sounds like a winner.

I have a first generation full length XDm in 9mm and a XD 9mm sub compact, I love the both and have owed them for years.

I'll gladly get an XD in 10mm...

Been lovin my XD 45s for several years and my XDM for the last year.

Great news that SA is finally getting around to the 10mm in the XDM.  Last summer I asked the SA rep in my LGS why they were dragging their feet on the 10mm. He said they get lots of requests for the 10mm in 9 states (likely all out west), and hemmed & hawed that the market was small.

I said that Glock sold every G20/G29 they made, and I'd bet a bunch of them were in those 9 states. I told him it was a shame that SA gave up that market share to Glock.  He didn't have an answer to that.

I suggested that SA make a 10mm XDM like the old Tactical 5" to compete with the G20, & a XD-S or XD subcompact to compete with the G29.

Take the current .40 S&W XDM 5.25 Competition fill in the slide cut-out for more slide weight, a 10mm barrel, stouter spring system, and a new mag follower and there you would have a full-sized XDM 10mm.  A .40 S&W XD subcompact in 10mm would need most of the same mods.

A SA 10mm may not sell as many as a 9mm but they should sell every one they make just like Glock does.

You guys do realize that the XDM will probably have a 16rd magazine?

Not a big fan of the XD but 10mm maybe. No Grip Zone though who ever signed off on that should be fired

Yes.

I need cheaper ammo that isn't PPU and is made in the US of A.

I'd like this a lot.  I want a 10mm gun for relatively cheap, but that only really leaves the glock 20 right now.  I love the XDM and they're usually pretty cheap relative to other guns.

A TRP in 10mm will sell faster than they can be stocked and made...
