I've got a S&W 629-5 with a 2.5 in barrel and fixed sights. Picture a 640 but in 44 mag. I know it was a limited run in the late 90's
for Camfour dist. but I can't seem to find any current info on it. Anybody got any ideas as to current value? I'll try to post pics but
I've got an arm in a cast.

Still have the box with the product code on it?  That will help narrow down a ballpark price.  Off the top of my head, I would say at least $1,000 in LNIB condition.

I'll have to look about the box. I've had this for about 15-16 years.
I'm no expert regarding condition assessment but I'd put it at 90-95%.
It hasn't been shot much and lives in the safe.

Are those the original factory grips?

No. Original grips were some heinous looking rubber Hogues.

IMO - No lock S&W, excellent condition with box and papers - ~$700-900 around here.

One of 300, give or take.

As it sits, minimum of $1000, probably closer to 1330-1500 on GunBroker

Put the original grips back on.  If you can find the box, it's probably worth $1300.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll see if I can find the box but in any event, it may be bound for the EE.

Never seen a fixed sight 629, pretty rare gun, and a -5, MIM parts but no lock.

Like a 629 Backpacker with no lock, fixed sights, and fluted cylinder.

As others said, $1K plus with box and original grips is probably not out of line if you can find the right buyer.

They made those in 99 and 2000 with the box and papers an easy $1,000 . I wish I could afford it. It apparently also exist as a -6.
