OP, I have (3) very nice vintage revolvers, (2) are mint from the 70's and are Smith "J" frames. 1 is a Colt "Agent" model. All three of them are irreplaceable if something happened to them as they aren't made like this anymore. I've shot healthy doses of the Geco 158 grain, standard pressure ammo out of all 3 pistols. In fact, it's my go to ammo from SGammo.com . It certainly doesn't make those kinds of numbers out of a sub 2" barreled snubby. And all three revolvers are still tight! The S&B I've shot maybe 300 rounds of thru my blued "J" frame. It was accurate but certainly nothing anywhere around 1,000fps. Now the Buffalo Bore LSWCHP standard pressure I carry for defense have just a hair more pop. And the +P version of that makes close to 1,000 fps out of a snub barrel and yeah, you know your shooting something for extracurricular... But the Geco and S&B, no, shoot and have fun. But a couple hundred rounds of each and try it yourself before you commit to a case just to be sure though.
