What do you guys think the value of a Ruger Vaquero BNV-45 (model # 0552) is? It's a 45 LC, less than 50 rounds, 7.5" barrel, and overall a great looking gun. I've seen ads with selling prices between the $350-500 range. I was thinking somewhere in the middle of that would be fair. Thanks.

I agree with the golden middle; $400 to 425-ish. Vaqueros seem to retain their value pretty well, better than most Italian 1873 SAA clones and they are very solid guns backed by a great warranty.

Is it a new vaquero or the original?

I bought my original Vaquero second hand for $400 but that was probably 8 years ago. It was NIB.

Value has probably changed since then though. It's the stainless .45 Colt model with the faux ivory grips. I don't recall the barrel length, probably 6 inches or so.

I had a lead on some cheap ammo and I probably ran 400 rounds though it before it dried up and I realized how much it costs retail.

I probably haven't put 100 rounds though it in the last 5 years.

I'll piggyback on this one.

I have a old model color case hardened Vaquero in 44-40 that I bought cheap with the intention of someday building a custom off it.
I've recently noticed the 44-40's selling for quite a bit on the auctions lately, upper $500 to well over $600.
Do you think they will continue to rise in price?
