Ruger photo gallery tacked topic. Due to recent request, I have took into consideration this subject. Even though I strongly feel that in the long run this will probably open a can of worms. I am willing to flex my personal opinion of this and give it a chance. However with any give and take situation, some guide lines will be upheld.
1.) Only one photo gallery topic will be active, any duplicated topics will be locked and/or moved to the trash. 2.) Should the photo gallery become inactive over a long period of time and unused, it will become un tacked and allowed to scroll off the forum like normal. 3.) Should the photos within the topic become "red X," "Unable to find," or just no longer an active link. In the majority of the post, again the topic will be un tacked and allowed to scroll off the forum. 4.) Should for some un foreseen reason staff request removal of un pertinent posts to save bandwidth due to server problems. Hope for the best but expect the worse. I hope that this can be an acceptable answer for all those who have requested a Tacked Ruger Photo Gallery Topic. So lets start the posting of pictures here. Thank you: Dave Dee |

Rust bucket bead blasted stainless Ruger P97DC done in KG foliage cerakote and black I did for a friend. So far it is holding up well to his abuse with no rusting issues. Not visible is the fact that I coated all the internal parts silver to facilitate easier cleaning:

My gen-u-whine imitation mother of pearl grip panels just came in.
As far as the "Small Wonder" sights go, I was a bit disappointed that they only light up enough to be noticeable under somewhat limited circumstances. Inside the house; no Outside in the sunshine; generally speaking, no In the shade, but with only the muzzle being illuminated by direct sunlight; yes All in all, I would have been happier if I'd just spent the extra $20 on a set of Trijicons. It does look neater than the standard factory sight, though. If you look close, you can see where I scraped up a small portion of it during my amateurish installation. Haven't shot it yet, so dunno about any POI change. Since I only train with it at powder burn distances, I doubt there would be any measurable change. THERE CERTAINLY WAS! ETA> Christmas '08: Ditched the fiber optic sights and installed a Trijicon front sight which shoots to point of aim (the fiber optics shot very low). |
