Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Which Dawsons Sights can I put on a Ruger 1911?

I was told that the Ruger 1911 has a Novak cut but that it's slightly different than a standard Novak cut because of course it does.

Has anyone used their sights before?

Ruger cut the dovetails pretty shallow on mine.  I had to file a whole bunch of material off the bottom of the Trijicon HDs I put on it.  Dawson cuts their sights with oversized dovetails for fitting, so I would expect that a lot of filing is in your future.

I used the Novak cut ones from Dawson. That was on the SR1911 9mm LTW 4"
