Looks like your having fun! Keep it up and keep the reports coming. Nothing better than shooting a .45 acp 1911 platform....<><...:)

I recently picked one of these up. Haven't fired it, but I had trouble with putting my Surefire X300s on the rail. Wouldn't fit a X300V and X300U tan that usually slide onto my Glock 19 and VP9 without much trouble. The lights got stuck and I had to use an allen key to unmount the screws to get it off.

It's funny i get the different strokes thing but i don't understand how you can hold a 1911 and not feel that way.

I don't have any x300's to test to see if i have the same issue...... if i bump into one i'll try.

It works fine with my TLR 1 ........  If you decide you want kydex I just got arfcomer Goodmedicine who makes / sells holsters in the ee to make me a couple holsters one without one with a tlr1 they work great......

I have a surefire xc1 on the way i will test it on the ruger just to see but it's for my main carry piece..

Bonus shot of the sbr my brother has been waiting 11 months on.

Brownells mags will be my mag of choice untill i find a reason not to run them ....... 12 total mags zero malfunctions

I expect you will be pleased.
I'm convinced it's the best buy in a railed 1911.

Ruger just needs to open a custom shop especially now that springfield is getting all the politics hate.

I just pick one up off the ee,  its the non railed version,  I have read good things about the SR1911,  I also have a rock island with a full rail,  its pretty heavy.

looking forward to getting it,  I have had good luck with black bullets,  I reload them and havent had any issues.  the SWC I have had problems with jamming up.

good post OP thanks,

@ my2Dogs

I imagine you will enjoy it as much as i enjoy mine.

I need to remember to weigh  a couple 1911's see how much more the railed one weighs.

I'll look into the black bullets I'm out of projectiles / down to 3500 rounds loaded I'm getting nervous about running out

For the record i don't think i will ever fool with pulled projectiles again they were dirt cheap but a pita due to all the checking / double checking.

roger that,  I was getting them from a company dirt cheap as well,  now I just order the coated bullets,  SNS and Black Bullets are the two I use,  I tried the blue ones but they were not as good and left blue stuff on everything.

good luck

OK today was time for my niece to decide what pistol she wanted for college graduation......
She had her choice between the M&P 2.0 compact and a glock 19.
She picked the M&P https://www.ar15.com/forums/handguns/MandP-2-0-compact-opinions-1200-rounds/4-178579/

So my baby didn't get much love today only 100 rounds can u imagine flawless.......

I did weight some 1911's though.
all with same loaded 8 round brownells mag for comparison
Funny the smith comes with a full length guide rod weighs less than the springfield.
