Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Replacing my factory Kimber 1 piece guide rod. Question?

I am replacing the 1 piece with a GI type setup.  I know which parts to order but don't know if the factory barrel bushing cutout for the recoil spring plug will fit a GI style plug?  Are the diameters the same?

Yes, they are the same size.  I usually make the same change myself.
