which overall is a better handgun? or is it both are about the same but with the .50 you have that much more of a bragging right

If you're a wannabe banger who thinks the size of the chamber is all that matters, go with the 50AE. You'll pay a lot more for ammo - but you'll be in prison before you can use much of it.

If you love weapons, and take the hobby seriously - go with .44

If I had to choose one I would get 44 mag, but they do sell both barrels!

thanks for your input i'll start looking more into the .44 mag

Mines a .44 Mag. Ammo is cheaper and you can find it almost anywhere. Those are the reasons why I went with .44

There's only one calibur that will have your friends saying, "No Sh t"!

I reload 50s so it cuts the ammo price - about three rounds for a buck with Speer bullets.

I have the .50 AE, there is nothing like it. You can always buy a .44 barrel later.
Big boom and muzzle flash, very fun to shoot. On the down side, only certain ranges will allow it.

Hi frank, I see you shoot your DE at continental arms also. I love the Fireball from winchester and remington rounds the .44 produces.
