I was at my local pawnshop and they had a nice 1903 for sale. It's in great condition, about 85-90%. They're asking 599 for it.
Now, my only concern is that with the slide locked back I can turn the bbl. a little. Is this normal for this model?
Thanks for any info.
ETA: I forgot to mention that it has original Colt black plastic stocks. Also, how to tell if it has been refinished? It looks really nice and I wonder if it has original bluing. The magazine has the lips with the chemical dip hardening.

You should be able to turn the barrel ninety degrees.  That's how they come apart.

Yes, but should it turn some while the slide is locked back? I'm worried it will affect feeding reliability.

Define "turn some"? A little bit is fine. Is it turning like 30 degrees? Or just a tiny wobble?

It should move a little. That's normal.
