Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Colt 1903 DOM 1920 has loose rear sight

I have been carrying this gun for about three now. It is very good shape for it's age. Tonight I noticed the rear sight has a small amount of side play in the dove tail slot. Is there an easy fix or should I take it to a gunsmith. I really hate to be without it.

A little peening of the dovetail maybe?

I would leave it in place and wick some blue locktite around it.  I've done that before and while it doesn't work every time is a good, cheap first try.

Thanks guys. I will try the blue locktite first. Gun has a hard chrome finish and I would hate to mar the finish.
