I have a Kimber Stainless II. My dad bought me a Bianchi holster for it for Christmas. I Put the pistol in the holster and I had to adjust the strap that holds the pistol in the holster. Now when I put the .45 in the holster while its cocked and locked is the strap suppose to run over the pistol between the hammer and the pistol? I was not sure so I thought I would ask here. If you need to clearify how it goes let me know.

Yes, for 1911 style pistols, if you have a retention strap on your holster it is meant to be placed between the hammer and the rear face of the slide.
