I got a ruger super blackhawk a month or so ago and would like to get some snake shot for it when I'm in the woods or on the tractor somewhere. I'm not that great with it and no way can I hit a copper head slithering away from me on a moving tractor, or probably just walking with normal ammunition on the first shot. I don't reload unfortunately so that's not an option. Do y'all have a particular brand or place to buy from you'd recommend? Thanks.

I use CCI shot shells in my .22's and .38's for taking care of rattlers. I know they offer them in .44 spl/mag as well……

get a Taurus Judge. 3" .410ga #9 shot does a much better job

Yep that it does. Takes care of the damn things nice and quick. Other than that the CCI Shot stuff.

I've killed many a rattler with CCI 22lr snake shot. I've killed them with CCI 38special-357, 44 special-44mag, 45acp and 45 Colt. I hate rattlers.

Graf&sons has shot shell in 22/9mm/38/45&44. The 44 was 10 per box at $ 15.99. Larger caliber has more shot for a quicker kill. Funny you should ask, I was just looking for some of the plastic tubes to load my own shot shell in 38. Didn't see any tubes.

CCi now makes their shot loads with small shot for snakes and larger shot.
I used to load their capsuls in 44 mag with 6 shot for evil barn cats.
Now I could purchase them if I needed.
Still 327-32long are a handload only proposition and they don't do capsuls in 32. Gas checks.

I would be tempted to try a judge or governor with 410 shells.
Or that contender barrel with the 410 option.
