Will the Holosun SCS work on the new 5.7? https://holosun.com/index/product/detail/id/224.html

5.7 slide too narrow

Any holsters yet for these??

I posted over in the suppressor forum but I appear to have had a bullet strike the end cap of my Sparrow mounted on the M&P 5.7. It’s on its way back to SilencerCo right now so I’ll see what they say. Another guy posted a Reddit link where a dude blew up an Oculus so this platform may not be a great host for .22 cal suppressors. Shame because it was a blast to shoot and the sparrow is small enough to still use the open sights. If I get froggy I may adaptify my Omega 30 onto it and see how that does

200 rounds through it today. Love it!!

Hotdog down a hallway is a good thing here. |

Is a booster required for pistol cans on these?
|
|
|
Not typically.

These come with a factory magazine loader. Anyone know where I can buy an extra one??

Loaded my magazines with SS197 and let them sit for a week then went to shoot, all magazines loaded to 22 rounds.
Fired 50 rounds of AE 5.7 Fired 100 rounds of SS197 No malfunctions of any kind and very accurate plinking offhand in the yard. Local store has SS197 for $34.99 and 2000 case for same price per unit. Also have SS195 for $43/box didn’t buy any. Have a possible line on SS192 and SS196, what should I expect to pay for these? |

Just have to check it every mag and make sure it hasn’t backed off the threads. |

Put another 300 rounds of Federal American Eagle through the S&W with the holosun and it was flawless. No hiccups. Flawless. I love this pistol.

What comps or brakes are you using on this pistol? Doesn’t really need it but makes use of those threads! :)

Do you have a few closeup pics. Of the comp on your 5.7?

Well I fired three magazines of FN SS198 (Green Tip) WITH ZERO ISSUES!!!
I DEFINITELY think the problem is the Federal American Eagle ammunition, the 40 gr bullet has too short of bearing surface too be reliably held by the casing. Numerous PS90 shooters have reported issues! The Tandemkross muzzle brake stopped ALL muzzle flip. More on this later. |

I shot 100 rounds of AE with My S&W 5.7 today...first time since I got it earlier this month. No issues at all. I have shot a hundreds of rounds of AE through my PS 90 SBR, FN Five Seven and Ruger 57 and never had an issue with it. Shot the S&W from 15 yd at 4 in target all were inside the outer ring. Mounted with a Swampfox Sentinel.

I think a lot of it depends on the LOT of Ammo.
We’ve fired thousands of rounds of Federal through our P90 with numerous malfunctions! |

I’ve shot AE, SS197, AE and my own reloads with 40 grain VMax. Shot a lot of Fiocchi in 9 mm and .45 and never had a bad experience. |

View Quote Yes the full auto makes a small difference, keep in mind if you are familiar with loading 5.7x28 you know how careful you need to be on powder charges! Jay Wolf of Elite Ammunition had a video where he pulled the bullets on 50 rounds of SS197 then weighed the powder charges. He encountered a 10% difference. In casing as small as 5.7x28 that’s HUGE! That’s poor QA/QC you can get away with that on cartridges that are on the 18,000 - 35,000 cup range. But on a tiny cartridge that’s already operating at 52,000 - 55,000 cup range…….that’s a recipe for disaster. |

View Quote Agree, I always go on the light side with 5.7 powder loads, measure twice, use a singe stage loader and an Elite case gauge. In addition, I don't reload casings a second time. |

Not really sure where to post this, I’ve got a M&P 5.7 and got some older ammo, got some SS192 and SS196 should I shoot it or sell it?
Send it to Elite for conversion? Thanks |

I have an older Dillon RL1050 that can crank out 1000 rounds an hour, NOT for the 5.7. I use a single stage RCBS. |
