I cant pick,
686  6 inch- $620
or
19-5 6 inch- $650
Both are clean guns, the 19-5 is a mid 1980's made

686 will hold up to full magnum 125's

19 should avoid them

I would pick the 19-5 but I like old school cool, which the Model 19 is. I am not a fan of full lug revolvers and I never shoot 125gr magnums. Makes it a pretty easy decision for me.

Blatant attempt to sway decision follows:

Left to right, 19-3, 19-2, 19-5

19s have more soul. Blue and wood is hard to beat, these two eat from the same table.Attachment Attached File

I'd get the 19 - but I hate 6" full underlug barrels.

Unless it's a 686 plus I would get the 19.  That said not a big fan of 357 Magnum anymore...

Yes.

Either is great. Obviously, you should get both. But you'll enjoy either one you get. So . . . yes.

Both are great revolvers.
I LOVE the L frame full underlug, in 4".
I shoot 158 grain and up so no useful input on use of 125's. We don't really shoot mild loads in .357 so the L frame works out pretty good around here but no disrespect for the K frame at all.
