i recently came across a slide marked

" U.S. 9mm M9-P.BERETTA-65490 " on the left side and
" ASSY9346442-65490 "    on the right side

PLEASE help me any info on when this slide was made or if you know someone at beretta who can direct me.  i believe that the weapon was part of a USG contract i just need to find out when it was made and the first military / goverment purchaser.  hug.gif

You have a Beretta Military contract M9 slide.  After the problems with the slide breakage were discovered and fixed there was a time where the slides were replaced often as a spare part.

All current issue M9 slides have the slide retention hammer pin slot cut into the bottom left side.  Many early M9 slides did not and were simply thrown away when replaced with the upgraded slide.

I have no idea when your piece was made nor if it is the "FS" version with the notch.  A picture would be nice.

flip the slide over.  look along the right side (the left side of the slide) under the safety.  there should be a notch cut.  If not, it's one of the slides described above.
