I want to put a compensator on my Brig 96 Inox.  I don't want anything permenent.  Sportsmans guide listed a threaded barrel in 40 cal on the internet but when i got it I figured out that it's .357 sig.  I also got the compensator with the slide profile.  I really really liked the way it looked until I figured out why an empty .40 case wouldn't fit the chamber.

Are there any other options out there?  I've seen another one that uses a longer guide rod to attach it to the slide but I don't think they are being made anymore.

Extended ported barrel may be your best inexpensive option, IMO.
