I saw some Italian MDS mags advertised as 'factory' Beretta mags, is this the case? If not, do these function okay?

Also, how are the 20rd Beretta factory mags?

Yes, they are factory mags, sort of. MDS is a subsidiary of Mecgar that is owned by Beretta and produces the Beretta mags. However, you can still get actual "Beretta" name mags in Beretta packaging. The MDS mags are identical to the "PB made in Italy" Beretta mags but are marked "MDS made in Italy" and come in MDS packaging. There is more discussion of this topic at the Berettaforum.net

Those aren't the crappy ones that the military had so much trouble with are they? I know that there was a contractor making mags for M9's that were crapping out, especially in the desert. If MDS isn't them, who is?
