Is the choice of Italian or Tenn. manufactured guns any quality difference?

The 92A1 seems better featured than the M9A1: two slots vs. one slot, removeable front sight vs. not, three 17 round mags vs. two 15 round.  Is there any real quality difference?  Am I right the Marine pistol is the M9A1?  Which makes the 92A1 just a commercial variant?

I personally like the m9a1 frame better, but the 92a1 has the dovetailed front sight making it possible for sight changes.

the 92a1 will come with factory 17rd mags too

I recently sold my M9A1 to get the 92A1, being able to change out the front sight was the main factor for me.

M9A1 can frame slide swap with most 92 varients.

92A1 has a built in frame buffer, and the slide and frame are only compatible with the 90two.

The 92A1 has better features than the M9A1, but lacks compatability with most other 92s. If you are going to have alot of Berettas or plan to have a .22lr kit, or swap slides at all, i'd choose the M9A1. If you'll never honestly change the sights i would go M9A1. In fact i would just go M9A1 anyway, but they're hard to find.

I found out the hard way that M9A1 holsters often don't fit the 92A1.    Holsters are hard to find for the 92A1.

That said I always wanted a made in Italy 92 series gun and I found a used 92A1 for a great price.

Decided wanted Italy made gun and the 92A1 features.  Go FedEx!  Hate waiting.

I think you'll like it.

I prefer the m9a1 but the ability to change out the front sight is nice.

Beretta was selling vertec slides recently which would of been nice on a m9a1.

Historically most have thought the Italian guns were nicer.  Nicer being somewhat subjective.
