I know very little about Beretta handguns. Did some horse trading and ended up with a 96A1. Did I get the bastard child of Beretta? I really like it. I know the .40 cal isn't that popular but its one of the few calibers I didn't own so I thought i would give it a try. Can anyone tell me about these grips? Is it ok to dry fire it?

I am not sure about the grips but as to dry firing,it shouldn't be a problem with most modern autos. But, to be sure, just get a few snap caps, as Murphy's Law has a way of screwing up my day.

I had a 96 years ago and am sorry I sold it. It was a flat shooter and a low recoiling gun. It will serve you well for quite some time to come.
