They make an M9A3 so they obviously see some demand by the customer.

Silencerco and Gemtech make them

Aftermarket machining companies thread existing Beretta barrels.

32 plus states allow suppressors.

So what am I missing?  I would much rather have a factory Beretta threaded barrel.  Why after all these years they don't do this!

Any help explaining this to me I would appreciate.

Many large companies are querulous in offering what they perceive to be "un-PC" options to non-LE/government. If you can get the "naughty stuff" from other sources, they don't feel obliged to offer it themselves - preferring the fig leaf of deniability to what marginal extra profits the small markets for those offerings might bring.

Because every one that comes off the line is going to a pre-sold M9A3?

They'll come around eventually.

Except you can buy a threaded barrel direct from HK through their webstore. Beretta on the other hand...

They told me that they can't keep up with demand but should catch up by summer. They will then have barrels to sell as stand alone.

Threaded barrels or just regular barrels?

Threaded. I purchased a threaded barrel from Jarvis. They are expensive but high quality.

I have a Jarvis barrel and it is nice, Silencerco just started making threaded Beretta M9 barrels now. If my Sig P226 barrel is any indication I bet the Silencerco barrels for the M9 are as good as factory at least.

I'm sure they are fine but the beretta factory barrels are proven.  If a few were put in front of me, id probably pick the factory OEM threaded barrel a majority of the time

They've been selling replacement barrels for the M9/92 for forever, can't see why the M9a3 would be any different. Just let them catch up on their backlog.
