I think I'm going to go for a P226 in 9 mm. 9 mm ammo is cheaper for practice, and I don't want to invest $2000 into a custom Caspian 1911 with an external extractor (which is what I really desire in the end....god I should have kept that f$#king Para Ord P14-45 Ltd ).

That said, who sells high caps? I assume Mec-Gar is the way to go on the 10 round magazines. I'm not paying $40+ for "factory" magazines. The ten round mag I looked at seemed to be ok. The follower wasn't extra hard to push down at least.

Thanks

Both $35 each for factory 15 rounders. That's as cheap as I've seen them. I occasionally see new factory 10 rounders priced at $25, but I'm not particularly interested in them.

I just got two 10 round factory mags. I plan on using them for pratice. Saving my 15 round mags.
I'm looking for P228 ten rounders too.
Good luck.
