Went to my local gun shop today, looked in the used pistol section(I always look here 2-3 times a month, can't pass up a bargain) there was a 228. Spoke with the dealer, said they purchased it and about thirty some odd handguns in an estate sale. Gun appears unfired, had the tags, the test target, owners manual, etc. and the grey cardboard box. Gun is marked made in W. Germany, (2) 13 round mags with the second mag still in the Sig wrapper. I have been looking for a nice 226 to accompany my W. German 220 .45acp and my 239 in 9mm, couldn't pass the 228 up. It absolutely looks unfired, is 100%. I always liked the 228 over the 229, & I felt like I couldn't pass this one up. Maybe a 226 down the road. Good deal or no?

Sounds like a good deal. I saw one in a bulletin a few weeks ago LNIB with box, 2 mags, manual, and a box of ammo for $465. I probably should have got it.
