Gone.

You all move fast. Another random search and I stumbled on them. I wonder how many they had...

I appreciate you all keeping track of those auction results. Very nice to know!

Prices seemed to go up as the night got later.  There were two from other auctions that went for $1282 and 1325.  Here is a snippet of the last 4 from the modernsportsman seller.  There are a bunch from the same seller ending today.

I had one in the cart, tried to make an account, was told I already had one, and then I had to guess the password.  By the time I finished, they were gone.

I have an order number, so I’m hoping Bud’s website is smart enough to take one out of inventory once it hits the cart.

(fingers crossed)

I have had this happen before with an item in the cart, creating an account only to return to hit the buy it now button, and its out of stock.

From my past experiences, it doesn't take it into account as an order till your order goes thru with your CC.

I’ve been keeping track. They’re now up to 23 auctions (16 still active) and at least 4 buyers from this site who purchased from their website.

I do believe the “new user” who was bidding was probably legit, considering how the additional auctions have transpired.

I'm local and know the guys. They had a large shipment. Definitely more than 23 that I saw.

Yup, I got screwed. I got an email 20 minutes ago that said, “Due to an issue with your order we need to speak with you. The item you have selected is currently out of stock.”

ETA: And their recorded message says they’re closed.

After placing my order they had more than 10 in stock because I checked.  I just received this email as well.

Due to an issue with your order we need to speak with you.

The item you have selected is currently out of stock.

Please call us at 859-368-0371 ext 7028 Monday-Friday 9am - 9 pm EST to have a customer service rep help you complete your order.

Please be aware that emails and phone calls are only answered during these hours.

Thank You,

Interested to see if anyone here actually gets one shipped or if they realized their mistake after listing them so cheaply and just cancelled everyones orders.

I can’t imagine any reputable retailer would cancel an order just to list them higher elsewhere.  The profits would be short term, but the damage would be long lasting.

I did a completed auctions search at gunbroker.  Used the search words "M17 Surplus".  As of 2:30 central time on 12/31/19 there were 38 completed auctions.  I did not include in this number any auctions that had completed with 0 bids, 1 bid or ended early.  Out of the 38 legitimate sales I added up all the ending prices and averaged them.  The average price is 1,398.75$

I keep hitting refresh on a couple websites, and signed up for notifications elsewhere, but at this point, I'm just hoping for the Osage lottery. I don't have the time to be glued to the screen to nab something that will be sold out in 10min.

I just walked out of my local big-box sporting goods store where I talked to their purchasing specialist. “We’ve got two in route to the store as we speak. Do you want one?” “I sure do. Here’s my credit card.” $860 out the door.

I guess no one in China is aware these guns are a thing

The first three units to field the M17 were parts of the 101st, part of the 82nd, and the entire 3rd Cavalry Regiment. And yes, if a Supply Person runs the serial number in the Army GCS-A system, they can pull the history of when the pistol was in what unit; even if the pistol is no longer in the inventory. I haven't confirmed this yet but a Supply NCO informed me of such when I asked.

I will probably test run a serial number or two from the GB listings next week.

I wonder how long Buds is willing to wait before relisting all the cancelled orders in hopes of minimizing the backlash and what the new price will be.

Osage is probably watching these prices skyrocket and kicking themselves right now as well.

I’m kind of surprised anyone sold these for $800, it was pretty obvious these were going to go for insane amounts the day the program was announced.

Pretty standard for PSA, especially with the holidays. Anyone who ordered from PSA should be patient, they normally are pretty good about stock status/fulfilling orders.

I think I’m going to track the auctions for one more day. There are 14 auctions that end today, then no other auctions that end for the next few days. Prices really started to climb a bit yesterday and I want to see what today brings.

I can’t wait to shoot one. I’m not a Sig guy but have considered buying an M17 civilian version because of “new iconic sidearm of the US mil!!” Super excited to have a ‘real’ one. Or two. Or three or four or ten.
