I got mine in yesterday, a threaded 220 kit - comes with 1 magazine and the threading is actually whatever weirdo thread on the barrel and then an adaptor that brings it to the standard 1/2x28 .22lr threading for cans.
I cleaned and lubed it, put my Dead Air Mask on it, and shot into a stack of phone books in my basement for a few rounds
That's one of the things I miss about NY...were I in NY or north NJ, one phone book would have been fine. Here...I had to stack 6 or 7 years worth of phone books
Worked great, and not as dirty as you would have thought. The magazine doesn't hold open on the last round, but supposedly mags sold in Europe do? The funny thing is, if you compare the P220 22lr magazine to Kimber's 22lr 1911 conversion kit magazine, the body is identical except for the mag catch cuts and the floor plate. Same magazine!
Anyway I need to stock up on mags now...I don't know if Sig blowing them out the other month was on purpose or what, maybe they're restocking with the Euro-spec mags? Otherwise, for 220 22lr mags at least, Top Gun Supply has a decent price on them...
I think I might wind up liking this more than my Ruger Mk3 I had cut and threaded
