I have a guy who wants to sell me a p239 .9mm
w/ nitron sights for $400.  I don't know much about sigs, is that a good deal. It has had about 25 rnds through it.  Also, he said he would throw in the 2 clips, and the leather.

One more thing, what is sigs warranty like?

That's a very good price. And if the 239 feels good in you hand a fits, it's a steal.

SiG says in their literature that they have no, zero, zip warranty. That is for legal reasons. But I have never known them to even quibble about fixing one of their pistols if something is wrong. They really stand behind their product and their service is first rate.

If I were you I would not be wasting valuable range time asking about it, I'd jump on that deal before it fades away.

I have read about problems with that model accepting anything but super quality ammo.

Is that true, or was that a isolated incident.

Nope, Sigs will eat anything you stick in their mags.  Probably some Glock fan trying to put down Sigs or something

The Mod knows best, no need to improve on it, but I will reiterate,

If I were you I would not be wasting valuable range time asking about it, I'd jump on that deal before it fades away.

thanks,

Also is changing the caliber as easy as changing the barrel and getting new mags?

Nope. You can't do that. You can go from 40S&W to 357SiG to 9mm, but you can't go from 9mm to either of the others. Down Yes, Up no.
