Recent acquisition, a 1984 West German P226 police trial pistol. Millet sights and Pachmayr grips, still rock solid.

Nice seeing something with distinguished class. The Tacticool stuff gets tiring after a while. Nice to see a classic pistol with target sights and an uncluttered dust cover.

It was a simpler time then.... keep the Soviet Horde East of the Fulda Gap.

My newest Sig. Just picked it up tonight. Gonna go shoot it tomorrow.
M11A1. Really want to put a standard trigger in it, the short reach trigger is a little short, and also considering slapping on E2 grips.

First "Full Size" pistol I have ever owned.  Definitely a keeper. Have a guide rod for 1911 springs and an Apex trigger coming in the mail.

Finally did it,

Can't wait to shoot it, I have a feeling it won't go back to its original .40 configuration.

Walked into a local gun shop and saw this '91-manufacture West German-stamped P226 9mm. Price tag- $449

Took it down and thought the barrel was rather shot out. Told the guy at the counter that it was gping to cost a bit to get a new barrel and was able to get him down to $349. Of course, I have a spare barrel at the house. Dropped the $349 + tax and walked out the door.

I am a guest firearms instructor at the state police academy this week and went right back to the range to shoot it at lunch. With the barrel I thought was shot out, a bunch of us were shooting excellent groups between 7 and 25 yards.

Finished refurbishing my 1984 today, it needed a new ejector which are hard to come by in Canada. A friend also sent me NOS screws that fit the old frames.

Just picked these two(2) up today. Sig P6 (225) German Police turn in's.

Got 12 mags total, 2X10 rounds, 4X originals, and 6 pro mags. Both needed cleaning and one of the mags had some rust.

I'm sure they will clean up nice.

Nice combo. I've never seen a small and medium grip module side by side, obviously the thumb scallop is less pronounced on the small.  Does that make the magazine release stick out more in a good way - i.e. a more tactile feel?

One of those compact smalls just went on eBay for a hair over $160

Well, the Sig Custom Shop has again outdone itself.

She came back today after the SSP/AEP/SRT treatment. The challenge of making the action smoother than it was when they received it was met and exceeded. She was returned with a sack of old parts, the old barrel, and the old grips.

If you're on the fence about having the aforementioned work done on your gun, get off that fence!
