Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Info on OLD 1st. Gen Glock 17 (pebble grip)?

I was wondering if any of you Glock gurus know how many of the old first generation pebble grip Glock 17's were imported?

Are they any more desireable than the second generation?

Any collectability?

Personally, they fit my hand the best of all the Glocks, but I'm having a harder time finding one.

I like them too, I have heard from the people at glocktalk.com that they do not generally sell for more than a second or third gen. in the same condition but who knows, maybe they will be collector's items someday. I want to get my hands on one of the 1st gen. G19's they produced for a short while before they switched to 2nd generation frame.
