Anyone used one of the aftermarket add on rail adapters to add a light to a Glock without the factory made rail? What is the good and bad?

Thanks.

Well, as it happens I have the mount you need...

ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=7&f=89&t=310360

I bought this at a gun show a few months back as I wanted to put a weapon light on my Glock 21. This adapter didn't work with the Glock 21 (The bigger Glocks have a thicker front to the trigger guard) and I wanted a weapon light mounted on a home defense handgun enought that I bought a 3rd gen Glock 17.

The rail mounts to the front of the trigger guard with four bolts and the front section fits arround the front bottom of the glock. This fits my Glock 17 perfectly (but given my Glock had a built in rail I don't need it). It will fit any medium or small frame Glock (17, 19, 22, 23, etc).

The bad is that it does occupy some of the space inside the trigger guard but not so much that I think it would be a problem.

The good is that it allows you to mount a weapon light.

I've been trying to get one through brightflashlights. We are having trouble with the postal system(they lost the package). He's going to get one for me. Hope to see it in a few days. I'll post a pic when/if I get it.
