Any gunsmith can install night sights for you.
I've used metrolight night tritium sights on both of my carry guns. They make them to fit almost all makes of handguns. I think I paid approximately a little over $100.00 for mine.
The place I bought them installed them for nothing. I've had good service from my sights.

Wave go to Iron Works (the gunstore behind 1 Plice Plaza) they have the sights and proper tools and will do it while you wait and won't bugger it up. They won't chaarge you if you buy them there and they give LEOs a discount. Just call first and ask for Neil or Mat and let them know you're on the job.

If you paid $100 for Meprolights then they didn't install them for nothing. ;) They only cost about $65-70 a set.

Hey Wave, whats up with e-mails I am getting concerning NYPD Glock 19s. Supposedly Glock has milling machines set up there to make a cut in the slide to aid in clearing some wicked jams that lock the gun up tight. You may want to do that too? I put my own Mepro sights on my 19 BUT the front came loose after 100 rounds or so, even with red loctite. I redid it and its been fine but thats a tiny front screw to try torqueing and not breaking. Just a thought, if someone else did it, who has done a lot of them, it may stay put plus have a warrantee?

anothergene:

I hear the firearms & tactics section is milling the 19s during firearms qualification at the NYPD range at Rodmans Neck. My question is: given these jams are specific to 9mm casings are getting stuck in the 19 ejection port (very very rare) do these jams occur in anyother caliber i.e. a .40?? Anyone know??

Being retired, I no longer get the freebees.

That report was bull, they just wanted a more expensive gun (like a sig) to get rid of some budget dollars before the new fiscal year started. They backed it up with a report that the G19s malf'ed once in 450,000 rds! Now I want to know how many pistols on their force even have 450K rds through them?

Their is a big thread on this at glocktalk

I think they charge $59.00 and all you have to do is send the slide.
